Bio
Capt Orr is an Assistant Professor of Air Force Aerospace Studies (AFAS) at Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 250, at Iowa State University. In this role, he is responsible for the recruiting and comprehensive military education of cadets, culminating in their commissioning as officers in the United States Air and Space Force.
Captain Orr enlisted in the Air Force in April of 2007 from Casper, Wyoming. His experience includes serving as an Aircraft Armament Systems Technician and Manpower Analyst before graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Operations Management and commissioning through Officer Training School in September 2019. Prior to assuming his current position, as a Force Support Officer, he served as the 6th Force Support Squadron’s Military Personnel Flight Commander supporting 17,000 war-fighters, 35 commanders, 2 Combatant Commands on execution of 49 personnel programs.
Captain Orr has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, DELIBERATE RESLOVE, ODYSSEY DAWN, SPARTAN SHIELD, ENDURING SENTINEL and INHERENT RESOLVE.
